Watch: The True Cost

If you're looking for something to watch on Netflix this weekend, I highly recommend The True Cost. It is an in-depth look at the fashion industry and it's affect on the world—from garment workers to farmers growing cotton for our textiles. You may know some of the facts, others may shock you. Personally, I felt like I knew a lot of what was documented—but seeing and hearing the stories had a profound impact on me. I actually cried when it was over, because I realized this is my industry and I don't like what I see. So how do we change it? The True Cost website has some resources about Buying Better. For me, I'm going to take a hard look at my closet, and how I buy. Of all the issues affecting the world right now, this is one we can all fix today.
